To the Editor of The Arizona Republic:

Re: "THE CLEAR, CONVINCING CASE AGAINST LEGALIZING POT" (12-24-15).

Seth Leibsohn is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts. I
suggest the readers
Google the term: "Teen marijuana use in Colorado". Several stories and
articles indicate
that teen marijuana use is down in Colorado--not up.

But Leibsohn obviously has an agenda. An agenda to keep cannabis completely
unregulated, untaxed and controlled and distributed by criminal gang
members.

To the editor-

My but the Bulletin has progressed on the issue of cannabis in Oregon.
Thank you for your acceptance.

Your editorial, Marijuana is legal; treat businesses that way (Sat, Dec
26) is on point. The last bastion of Prohibition II supporters continue a
s
they always have, denying the simple truth that cannabis is and has alway
s
been a beneficial agricultural staple.

Over the many years (decades!) we have been arguing about pot in Oregon w
e
cannabis supporters have been guilty of basically 2 things - gardening an
d
enthusiasm - and maybe a bit of hyperbole now and again.

Cannabis is here. Why do some Oregonians continue to believe that
capitalism and personal liberty are good things - except when it comes to
our favorite weed?

To the Editor of The Columbus Dispatch:

I am writing about the not-so-thoughtful letter from Janet Blank:
"Legal-pot supporters just want to get high" (1-9-16)

The cannabis legalization issue is not whether cannabis is completely
safe for everybody, including children and adolescents , it is not.
The issue is freedom of choice for adults. Children have died from
eating peanuts and peanut butter but we don't cage peanut growers,
sellers or consumers.

And the voters of Colorado, Washington state, Alaska and Oregon have
decided that we should not cage cannabis growers, sellers or consumers.

I submit that all adults should have the same freedom of choice that
they have these states.
