FATHER OFFERS URINE SAMPLE IN THE COURTROOM

KELOWNA - A frustrated father who went beserk in the Kelowna Law Courts in
August offered to submit a urine sample in court Friday to prove he's
drug-free.

Barry D. Hollier, 44, was sentenced to six months for mischief after he
picked up a fire extinguisher and sprayed powder in the upstairs lobby, down
the stairs and into the plants. When Crown counsel Jerry Schlosser suggested
drug counselling as part of Hollier's probation, he became agitated in the
prisoner's box. He said he wouldn't jeopardize the custody battle for his
children by using drugs, and offered to submit a urine sample right there.

"I'll give you a p--- test!" he said several times.

Hollier had at least one uncovered syringe in his pocket when a deputy
sheriff detained him during the August incident.
