To the Editor:

The Daily News reported the expulsion of the Marijuana Party candidate
from the high school election debate. This led me to wonder if the
Alliance representatives would be allowed to spout anti-abortion
rhetoric at the same debate. After all, both candidates support the
removal of specific laws unpopular with specific factions in our
national community. So I called LVR to suggest the inequity of their
situation and was informed they had cancelled the entire debate.

Perhaps this is appropriate. After all it's important that children
be kept ignorant, uninformed and uninvolved for as long as possible.
Perhaps the "High" school should encourage parents to suppress both
television and radio news in the presence of their ignorant but
innocent offspring.
