Surley WAR ON DRUGS Better To Legalize Illegal drugs are readily available, and in some cases cheaper than before. Local authorities are asking for more border agents, judges, district attorneys, defense lawyers, prisons and prison guards. Congress recently passed legislation sending helicopters to Colombia. Remember Vietnam? Money spent curing the effects, rather than attempting to stop the flow makes more sense. Our experience during Prohibition supports my position. That no presidential or vice presidential candidate has addressed this problem angers me. If ever my son gets blown away in a $25 million helicopter fighting an unwinnable war, I will be straitjacket mad. F.C. Surley, Irving - --- MAP posted-by: Jo-D
