PERSONAL PROBLEMS DON'T JUSTIFY THE CONTINUATION OF A HARMFUL POLICY

RE "MEMORY GOES TO POT," BY LICIA CORBELLA (AUG. 29): I DON'T BELIEVE
Corbella's personal memory problems justify the continuation of a harmful
drug policy. Given her inability to grasp the glaring flaw in the "gateway"
theory concerning marijuana, I suspect her admitted past drug use may have
damaged more than just her memory. I would hope that Canada cares more
about the health of Canadian children than appeasing drug warriors in the U.S.

(Licia's first concern is kids' health)
