LIBERALS CREATE CRIME

Re Waging war on biker gangs, Sept. 19.

Justice Minister Anne McLellan had a very good point when she said, "The
other way you destroy organized crime is to take the money out of it, to
take the profit out of it." Why then, does the Liberal government continue
to create crime by treating addiction as a criminal rather than a health
problem?

As a result of "liberal" policies, we have murderous thugs selling
unregulated chemicals to sick people to sniff, smoke or shoot into their
bodies. All for a tidy profit, which is quite lucrative due to the
unregulated market conditions.

Much of our crime is drug related, resulting in overcrowded jails, where it
is easier to get drugs than on the street. Shouldn't our universal health
care system cover those sick with addiction problems, to get them out of
prisons and back into society?
