Any relaxing of the law on drugs and driving would lead to more accidents. Cannabis distorts perception of time, distance and colour - and reduces your inhibitions. Cannabis alone, not with alcohol, was implicated in 36.8% of fatal accidents in a Californian study carried out as long ago as 1985. In 1991 a famous piece of research showed that experiences pilots given a very low THC joint to smoke were unable to land a plane safely on a flight simulator for up to 24 hours afterwards. The appropriate limit for drugs when driving is zero. Peter Stoker - --- MAP posted-by: Eric Ernst
