DRUG TRADE IS PROTECTED BY CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS

Bravo for your Oct. 15 editorial, "EXIT COLOMBIA." The war on (some) drugs
continues because many people, institutions and industries with power and
influence have a vested interest in continuing the counterproductive
policy.

I agree that corrupt governments are protecting the drug trade. Those
governments, however are not necessarily exclusively outside the borders of
the United States.
