11 WORKERS CHARGED WITH TRAFFICKING COCAINE

Drug trafficking charges have been filed against 11 workers at the Alcoa
Wheel Products manufacturing plant.

The charges follow a seven-month investigation at Alcoa Wheel by the State
Line Area Narcotics Team, or SLANT.

An undercover officer posed as an employee and made purchases of cocaine and
marijuana at the plant, authorities said.

The investigation was launched after Alcoa employees made numerous
complaints about drug abuse and dealing at the Beloit plant, narcotics
agents said.

The 11 people were charged with a total of 24 counts of trafficking
marijuana and one count of dealing cocaine.
