YOUNGSTERS NEED PROTECTING

I DISAGREE with the idea of decriminalising the use of cannabis.

This is giving the wrong signals to the younger generation and giving
ammunition to the drug pushers who will say that this drug is OK.

Using cannabis is a first step to using more dangerous drugs. I have known
at least two people who have been introduced to cannabis by these
undesirable people, and this led them to experiment with harder drugs.

For the Liberal Democrats to push such ideas of freeing the use of cannabis
is at best naive and at worse dangerous.

Where do the Braintree Liberal Democrats stand on cannabis? Should it be
decriminalised, and how far would they go?

Once you start making one drug acceptable where do you stop?
