'BREATH TAKING STUPIDITY'

Dear Editor

I quote your recent report:

"Dutch Police took Mr Pickles to a variety of coffee shops where they
informed him that "the drug dealers who supply cannabis 'through the back
door' are, generally speaking, the same ones that supply crack, heroin and
ecstasy."

With breathtaking stupidity, this is presented as an argument against the
legalisation of cannabis!

Perhaps even though Mr Pickles can't grasp this, your readers can: Cannabis
is a relatively safe substance, its illegality causes far more problems than
its use does. It is prohibition that puts its supply in the hands of
criminals.
