DRUG TRIAL PROBLEMS

JUST 10 per cent of people participating in the Carr Government's Drug
Court trial completed the addict-treatment program, Auditor-General
Bob Sendt has reported.

Forty-two per cent were forced to leave the program, primarily for
reverting to drug use.

He said the program -- which was set up in February last year -- had
achieved only "mixed results."

Mr Sendt also warned there were problems with drug tests under the
trial which made it hard to tell how many people were still using.
