TIME FOR A CHANGE IN DRUG POLICY

I am writing regarding your Nov. 28 editorial, "Drug debate put into
action."

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again
and expecting a different result each time. It is also a good
definition of stupidity.

Our nation's drug policy for the past 85 years has been both insane
and stupid. The voters of California and the governor of New Mexico
are saying: Let's do something different.
