ONLY SMOKERS WANT POT DECRIMINALISED

Sir--Renee Boe (March 20) suggests that "Messrs Burns and Gardner et al have
eyesight problems". I can assure her that I have excellent eyesight and
hearing and that my mind and reasoning powers are unbefuddled by drugs.

I know that Nandor Tanczos wants the decriminalisation of cannabis for
personal use because I have heard his maiden speech in the House of
Representatives, and I have read an article about him and his views in The
Press.

Why would anybody want the decriminalisation of cannabis use if he does not
want to smoke it?

As for the use of cannabis for improving eyesight, I say - what utter rot!
Ask any ophthalmologist about that.
