Clegg ANOTHER CASE FOR CANNAABIS Sir, As someone who suffers from MS, I cannot help but feel an omission in the current debate For years we who suffer MS have known the various positive and negative attributes of the plant. Do people think we are reckless? We consult fellow users, our doctors and consultants. Knowing the dangers, we inhale or digest as much as we need to from the flower bud only. In the light of the present movement to legalise, can there be a place for open discussion whilst we ponder legalisation? It would be good to be able to discuss openly with our doctors and consultants, rather than whispering behind our hands, and begin to have an active role in our treatment plans. Legalise cannabis by all means for medical purposes, but in the meantime can we have an open forum to discuss our independent needs with those who care for us? The Rev D. K. Clegg, Durham - --- MAP posted-by: Don Beck
