VICTIMLESS CRIMES

I wonder if Justice Scott Brooker is proud of his efforts "Couple Ends
drug law fight," (April 29). Brooker has handed a nine-month jail
sentence (albeit suspended) to Anne Marie Kinsey for medical
marijuana. John Kinsey faces even harsher punishment. But their
actions have not harmed anyone. How can there be a crime without a
victim?

(Your heart is in the right place, but remember that the law makes it
hard for the Justice to do anything else.)
