SO MUCH FOR PRO-LIFE VIEWS

ON THE MORNING of July 3 Paul Osborne was interviewed on ABC Radio 666
on his decision to vote against the funding of the Canberra SIP and
thus defer its establishment until after the next ACT election. He was
asked whether he was worried about the additional people likely to die
of overdoses. He replied that he was not worried. It is difficult to
reconcile that answer with his strong pro-life views on matters such
as abortion. It is also difficult for those who place a high value on
helping people to stay alive until they want to give up drugs, to
argue against what seems to be a callous position.
