MEDICAL MARIJUANA REFUGEES

Re "Pair claim win in pot case mistrial," Dec. 22: My goodness, what a good 
job the district attorney and the valiant narcs of Placer County have done. 
The Kubbys are being forced out of Placer County as medical refugees. The 
narcs will be back with a vengeance. Not in court but on the ground, where 
punishment can be exacted summarily, in the line of duty, just following 
orders.

The drug war plods along. Placer County is spending its money wisely, and 
an award of several million dollars is due the Kubbys, a direct result of 
the malicious persecution and resultant denial of basic human rights.

Sadly, the free society that was heralded as America is gone. In its place 
is DEAland, land of the obedient, home of the sheep.
