The first occurred at 9.15pm on Wednesday when a single shot was fired from a bush reserve into a home in Neilson Street, Granville. Police said the bullet passed through a bedroom window where two sisters aged 14 and 16 were sleeping. The girls were not harmed, nor the motive known. Seven hours later a gunman shot and killed a minor drug dealer in Boyd Street, Cabramatta, as he walked from a nearby home to his car. The 22-year-old man, known to police as a heroin "runner" for major dealers around the Cabramatta shopping centre, slumped to the middle of the road when struck by two bullets. Police said the man, whose name has not been released but lived in the Cabramatta area, died two hours later in Liverpool Hospital. At the time of the attack, he was walking with another man to his car. In the third gun attack two men were shot while walking in William Street, Kings Cross, at 6.30am yesterday. The men, a 36-year-old and his 29-year-old friend, were shot by an unknown gunman near the intersection of McElhone Street. One of the men was hit in the stomach, the other in the right leg. Both were admitted to St Vincent's Hospital, where police hope to interview them today. - --- MAP posted-by: Keith Brilhart
