SUCH A THING AS AN UNJUST LAW

It's a wonder Calgary Police do not apply to have Grant Krieger canonized
as the first step to sainthood. ("Jury clears air in medicinal pot case,"
Licia Corbella, June 21.) At a time when Canadians are giving an honourary
citizenship to "criminals" like Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years in
prison for his political views, it would not surprise me to see Grant on
the short list for knighthood at the least. The arrest and prosecution of
Krieger proves there is such a thing as unjust law.

(The jury obviously agreed.)
