A WITCH HUNT

This letter is for the individual(s) who reported to the police that my
humble home is actually a warehouse for illegal drugs. After a thorough
check by several officers, I am sad to report that no illegal items were
found. Are you disappointed to know that we "ruffians" are, in fact,
honest, intelligent folk who make our living in a lawful manner? You were
too much of a coward to give your name in your accusatory phone call to the
police, but at least now your friends, family and co-workers know what an
ignorant, prejudiced person you really are.

To report evidence of illegal activity is the duty of every citizen.
However, calling witch hunts based on bias or revenge is a moral travesty.

On a positive note, I would like to thank the four police officers who
inspected my house. They were kind and courteous, and deserve commendation
for their presumption of innocence and respect for property.
