RACINE MAN HELD ON DRUG CHARGE

Racine - A 19-year-old man who police say was caught receiving more than 60 
pounds of marijuana was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana with 
intent to sell more than 2,500 grams.

Jesus Barajas-Galan was arrested Monday by the street crimes division of 
the Racine Police Department.

According to a criminal complaint, an undercover detective posed as a 
delivery person and transferred a package to Barajas-Galan. The package, 
which Texas law enforcement officials already had determined contained 
marijuana, was addressed to Barajas-Galan's home. He signed for the 
package, which weighed nearly 31 pounds.

Barajas-Galan also was the intended recipient of a second box of marijuana, 
which weighed more than 29 pounds, according to the complaint.

Barajas-Galan was being held in the Racine County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
