UNMIXED MESSAGE

I take exception to Peggy Sapp's July 6 letter Mixed messages encourage 
drug abuse. I feel adults should have the legal right to use marijuana.

Laws that provide jail sentences for marijuana use are unjust and barbaric. 
I have taught this message to my two teenage daughters. I also have taught 
them not to be afraid to speak their minds.

Although the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Congress has the authority to 
prohibit medical use of marijuana, I do not have to agree with that.

Billions of dollars have been wasted, lives have been shattered, more than 
two million people are in jail and the only thing that has been 
accomplished has been the desecration of the Bill of Rights.
