GROWING POT, FATAL RECKLESSNESS NOT ANALOGOUS

This is in response to the letter "Four marijuana plants worse than three
deaths?" [July 6].

First, I would like to say that Brandon Brown has to live with the death of
his three friends for the rest of his life. He had a car accident, and as a
result three people died. That's just it, though: It was an accident, he
didn't purposely kill anyone.

As for the letter writer growing medical marijuana, if it was "medical"
then he would have received a prescription for it--he wouldn't grow it in
his own home.

The letter writer shouldn't be so bitter; it's going to get him nowhere in
life. Also, he shouldn't compare Brown's sentence to his; they're related
only because they both happened in Stafford County.
