PERSECUTING IRVIN

The prosecution of Michael Irvin on drug charges by the Denton County
attorney is a national disgrace. Armed with draconian drug war
legislation, no-name district attorneys are living vicariously through
the persecution of a man with true talent and notoriety.

I don't know anybody who feels threatened by the personal behavior of
Irvin and his friends behind closed doors. The real threats to society
are from hypocritical, racist drug warriors who pass and enforce laws
that undermine basic constitutional freedoms and persecute those who
do not conform.
