DON'T DENY ACCESS TO A DRUG THAT WORKS

I take exception to the suggestion that OxyContin be outlawed.

I take OxyContin. I have chronic back pain from an injury suffered
more than 10 years ago, and OxyContin is the first prescription drug
that has allowed me to function normally.

The doctor I see for my back pain prescribed this medication some
time ago, and it has allowed me to take it when needed and work or
relax without being drowsy.

No other medication has worked as well as OxyContin, or if it has
worked as well on the pain, I have been too drowsy to be my best at
work.

Now because of some people out there abusing the drug, am I to be
denied a medication that works for me?
