A SHAME ABOUT SCINT FUNDING

Regarding the article about the South Coast Inter-Agency Narcotic Team
SCINT (The World, Jan. 20), I would hate to see this agency go down
because of lack of funds from Measure 3, which was passed at the
November election.

I do agree with most of Measure 3 except where it would take away the
money SCINT needs to keep operating. Measure 3 has limits to using
only 25 percent of the value of the seized goods.

For further information, please check with North Bend Police Chief Gil
Zaccaro or Sgt. Dan Looney at SCINT.

I believe it is very essential that we keep SCINT going.
