Of course, adults never liked the things the younger generations did. Sorry, but if the Nov. 4 article is just some propaganda to inject the public with a syringe full of fear for their children's safety and to get the tight-suit lawmakers some public support to ban something they just can't understand, the people who do attend raves are not going to grin, bear it and resort to sock hops just because they are accepted by adults. The media must stop pumping the public full of exaggerated hogwash. The article made vague references to how to tell if someone is using ecstasy - i.e., dilated pupils - and it exaggerated the means of death of a 16-year-old from Madison. Give it about eight years, and everyone will be nostalgic for the rave scene. I'm 21, and Woodstock looked pretty cool, but I wasn't there. I watched a VH1 special on Studio 54; I never got to go there, either. Let kids have their fun, and let them make their own mistakes to learn from. Isn't that the reason for all the adults' knowledge now? M. Gunderson Wausau - --- MAP posted-by: Beth
