UP PENALTY IF KIDS PRESENT

I just read the Nov. 28 article entitled Bid To Stop Pot Growers Wins
Praise and offer the following comment.

A five-year sentence for a home grow operation should be sufficient for
first time offenders as long as children are not involved, but if children
are involved, it should be a minimum of 10 years for the first offence. No
less.

We have to remember that when children are involved, it's not so much the
pot we are cultivating but the future pot growers.

These kids see mommy and daddy getting away with this and when they get
older, they will think that they will too.

What is it going to take to change the laws in this country -- a couple of
police officers or a couple of firefighters killed in a booby trapped home
or, worse yet, a couple innocent children?
