LET PROHIBITION START WITH TOBACCO, ALCOHOL

Bravo to Robert Sharpe for his outstanding letter, "U.S. drug war has
become a race war" (CHN, Dec. 2).

It seems to me that if prohibition worked, tobacco should be the
first substance prohibited and alcohol the second. But prohibition
does not work, except to provide full employment of those doing the
prohibiting.
