Tobacco, on the other hand, causes more almost a half-million deaths each year in the U.S. As to Adams' claim that anybody can quit smoking if they want to, why, then, do some cancer patients continue to smoke even after their voice boxes are removed and they have to smoke through surgical holes in their necks?
