CANNABIS MAKES DRIVERS MORE CAUTIOUS

A City garbage collector complains about cannabis use on the job and makes
reference to driving under the influence of cannabis. ("Hassles follow drug
claim," Jan. 28).

Researchers have found the mellowing effects of cannabis make drivers more
cautious, and so less likely to drive dangerously. So garbage collector
Darren Hunter's animosity towards his co-workers may be far more injurious
than any cannabis smoking.
