MAN ARRESTED IN THEFT OF VIAGRA

An investigation into the robbery of a Racine pharmacy where four bottles
of Viagra pills were taken has resulted in the arrest Friday of a
20-year-old Racine man, police said.

Racine police Sgt. Kurt Maurer said the man was arrested in his home after
police received anonymous tips from the department's Crime Stoppers Hotline.

According to police reports, the armed robbery occurred about 10:45 a.m.
Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital Pharmacy, 1244 S. Wisconsin Ave., after a
man had visited the dispensary several times.

The robber received two full and two partial bottles of the drug, which
treats erectile dysfunction, and then fled on foot.

Maurer said witnesses picked the suspect out from a photographic line-up
Thursday. He was being held Friday at the Racine County Jail in lieu of
$5,000 bail.

According to Wisconsin court records, he was arrested last May for criminal
damage to property and sentenced to one year of probation.
