END THE WAR ON (SOME) DRUGS

To the editor:

Fear not, K. Saville: we'll be a safer, richer, happier citizenry when the
war on (some) drugs is over. (Letters, The Daily News, March 18).

When marijuana is decriminalized, there will still be laws against
workplace intoxication. In countries when it has been decriminalized, it
and other drugs are actually used less than they are here in North America.
No one is violent or destroying their bodies or minds by using
marijuana. If doctors and police were listened to, marijuana would already
be decriminalized!
