The Wollongong City Employment Training's unique work experience scheme - the first program in Australia to be run for reformed drug users on the methadone program - was highly commended in the Work for the Dole Achievement Awards 2000 presented this week. Participants built walking tracks, stairs and a causeway to assist with drainage in the park.
