POLICE POWERS COMING FROM THE RIGHT

I must remonstrate against two points in your article "Nazi-style drug laws 
may be open to abuse" (Herald, March 29).

Firstly, there is an inference that we have a wave of neo-Nazi drug-policy 
activity. Could I suggest it is in fact neo-Liberal value-for-money 
political activity?

Secondly, Sydney barrister Mr Stephen Odgers infers the new policy came 
from "left field". Could I suggest that in fact this new drug-policy came 
from the "right field"?

Perhaps ABC management are now advising Government on social issues!
