TWO KILLED IN BOMB BLAST IN DUSHANBE

A bomb blast has killed at least two people and injured five others in
Dushanbe, the capital of the central Asian nation of Tajikistan.

The bomb went off in a shop and police quickly surrounded the building.

It was not immediately known whether the blast was linked to the drug trade
in the former Soviet republic.

Tajikistan is a major route for narcotics from Afghanistan and has been
overrun by crime since its independence.
