The effects of alcohol on the body are just as bad if taken in excess, and perhaps even worse, as the effects of smoking pot. In fact, battered women's shelters might testify to the fact that alcohol causes severe damage to families as well as the human body. I would rather my husband came home after smoking a joint, with a relaxed smile on his face, than coming in after drinking, which affects his stomach and gives him a miserable demeanour. The next time Martinuk lifts a little glass of wine to her lips, remember -- it is her choice. How would she like someone telling her it's illegal (as it once was)?
