SEIZED MARIJUANA FOR MEDICINAL RELIEF

Lyn Cockburn's viewpoint (May 31) on legalizing marijuana is one shared by 
myself, except I wish she'd mentioned how many deaths, beatings, and sexual 
assaults have resulted from alcohol. My other idea was, as police 
congratulate themselves for uncovering so many growing operations, I was 
wondering, why not have it checked, cleaned and given to those who could 
derive medicinal relief?
