Good heavens, don't these people have imaginations? Here are several reasons. A murder mystery writer (I am one) wishes to use a meth lab as a plot twist. A vice cop wants to know what he's looking for. A screenplay writer uses meth as the one poison that kills the invader aliens in her science fiction movie. Or a person is simply what Kipling calls "The Elephant's Child," an insatiably curious person. Should I have to get a permit to buy a "dangerous" book? Should I go before some sort of government panel to justify my desire to read? Horrors! The Tattered Cover is making the necessary stand that a book is innocent, and anyone should be able to read without government interference or oversight. Bless you, Tattered Cover, and the fight you're making for freedom. BONNIE RAMTHUN, Erie - --- MAP posted-by: Josh
