COPS BUST GROW OP THANKS TO DEAD MAN

TORONTO -- A mysterious stiff led cops to a house full of spliffs in York
Region.

Police stumbled on the hydroponic grow operation in an upscale Richmond
Hill home purely by chance, after checking out reports of a sudden death in
the parking lot of Times Square Plaza before 4 p.m. Friday.

Once at the plaza, they found two men saying they had been driving their
friend to the hospital when he suddenly died.

Checked Address

A cursory examination of the body showed rigour mortis had already set in
on the 55-year-old, an Australian citizen ostensibly in Canada on vacation.

Curious, the police checked the address where the man was supposed to be
staying and discovered the windows taped up and the entire home given over
to the cultivation of 400 marijuana plants.

Police estimate the drugs are worth up to $400,000.

An autopsy yesterday confirmed the man died of a brain aneurysm and no
charges have been laid in connection with his death.

However, cops suspect his two friends were afraid of calling an ambulance
to the home and decided to move the body and fudge the time death.

Manhu Huu Le, 26, and Gioi Huu Le, 24, have been charged with theft of
utilities, producing a controlled substance and possessing a controlled
substance for the purpose of trafficking.
