The students performed Jerome McDough's "Addict," an abstract one act play that depicts the debilitating results of drug addiction and encourages those with drug problems to seek professional help. After winning the state competition, the young actors performed the play for South Middle School and hope to perform it at other county schools later in the spring. Winning the competition was not a small accomplishment and people in Morgantown should be proud of these energetic and talented students. As a result of their victory, they have been invited to the National Drama Competition for one act plays and a troupe of 27 will travel to Mobile, Ala., on March 6 to compete with other talented students from across the United States. You personally can help them get there and share in the glow of victory by aiding in financing the trip. Since deposit money is needed for registration, bus and hotel, contributions are needed as soon as possible. Any contribution will help. Please send your tax-deductible contribution to the MHS Foundation (memo line Drama) at P.O. Box 1431, Morgantown, WV 26505. Philip Shuman Brooke Shuman Morgantown - --- MAP posted-by: Richard Lake
