POT FARMS AND LAW

Editor -- Sheriff Don Horsley of San Mateo County (Letters, Jan. 17)
conveniently ignores the main truth about problems caused by marijuana
growers:

None of them would exist if we didn't have repressive Prohibition era
laws against pot.

If pot were legal, there would be no need to grow it in public parks,
no armed Mexican Mafia drug cartels, no connection to harder, more
profitable drugs and no need for the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting.
