POT SMOKERS RUIN THEIR OWN LIVES

Am I the only person to notice that the letters submitted with regard to 
the students arrested for drug possession are from people who live far, far 
away?

The news article (13 pot smokers charged, June 7) hardly compares to what 
Hitler did to the Jews and you should be ashamed to even go there. These 
kids broke the law! They weren't arrested because they were teenagers and 
therefore a minority! Give your head a shake! I knew right from wrong at 
that age; the difference was, back then there were consequences.

Nobody else has ruined their lives by having them arrested. They did it to 
themselves.

I am so tired of people these days who blame everyone but themselves for 
their problems. That's half the problem now - nobody is responsible for 
themselves.

One should not be held responsible for someone else's stupidity.

I've been thinking lately that if someone tried to hold me responsible for 
something that happened to their child because they weren't being 
responsible parents I would counter-sue for custody of that child. I figure 
if I'm going to be held legally responsible then I want that kid!

So careless, irresponsible parents watch out! I want your child!
