HEMP IS OLDEST FIBER PLANT

Hemp is the oldest cultivated fiber plant in the world. Industrial hemp is
not marijuana but a non-intoxicating plant with more than 25,000 uses. You
can't get high from fiber hemp and it is the world's most versatile fiber.
Almost any product that can be made from wood, cotton or petroleum,
(including plastics), can be made from hemp.

Hemp uses no pesticides and crowds out weeds without herbicides.

Since on average each American uses 730 pounds of paper a year ... this
translates to 9 trees the size of telephone poles 4 stories high. All these
trees could be saved with much less damage to the environment by
substituting hemp which makes better paper products.

Logically we should legalize it's planting as it's many uses would have
much less negative affect on the environment. Over 600,000 acres are
planted to hemp worldwide.
