HITS FROM THE BONG!

I thoroughly enjoyed your article on the Canada Day cannabis forum.
("Please Smoke Pot Before You Read This Article!", July 9). It boggles
the mind that an activity that is so ingrained in our culture -
smoking pot - is still illegal. Hundreds of millions of people enjoy
the drug for recreational and medicinal purposes worldwide; most of
these people are perfectly productive members of society. We waste our
taxpayer dollars and our police officers' time by criminalising this
blameless activity.
