CORPORATE CRIME PAYS TOO WELL

Why are we so upset about making sure crooked CEOs who lied about the value
of their stock go to prison? Ivan Boesky, who made $200 million on the junk
bonds scandal, got a fine of $100 million and spent a few years in prison.
When he got out he had $100 million waiting for him.

Big drug dealers have the government take away their homes and cars because
they are ill-gotten gains. What is the difference between a drug dealer who
ruins a person's life and a CEO who loses a person's life saving because he
was greedy?

Let's send them to prison -- but make sure that when they get out they have
a cardboard box waiting for them, not a $4-million home.
