I was astonished and thrilled to read "Help for Addiction Is a Phone Call 
Away" by Cindy West (12 July). I have read thousands of heated public and 
political debates about what to do about America's drug-abuse problems. But 
this was the first time I have ever seen a clear, simple, thorough listing 
of available addiction services in any American newspaper. No matter what 
else you publish in 2002, this article will be your finest service to your 
readers.
