PROHIBITION A "STUPID POLICY"

Your July 24 editorial on marijuana was the only one of over a dozen 
editorials across Canada in recent weeks that even used the word 
"prohibition."  It is about time an editor called Canada's outdated and 
counter-productive cannabis policy what it is.  There is no reason to 
believe that history's verdict on the repeal of alcohol prohibition will be 
any different for the repeal of cannabis prohibition.

Canada realized almost a decade before the US how incredibly stupid a 
policy that prohibited a popular recreational drug like alcohol.
