POLICE SHOULD REPORT COST OF FINDING MARIJUANA

Re: "State police find, destroy $23.5 million of marijuana."

Why is it that the police always report on the number of cannabis
(marijuana) plants seized, and the estimated street value, but they never
report on how much it is costing tax payers to have them flying around in
helicopters and hiking around in the woods instead of pursuing cases
dealing with murder, rape, burglary, and other traditional crimes?
